PHR is proud to introduce our new Billet Cam Gears for the 2JZ and 1JZ engine families.
Adjustable cam wheels are important for dialing in opening and closing events on camshafts as well as on the cam centerline. Your camshaft was designed specifically for these specific events and you will need an adjustable cam wheel to tailor it as closely as possible to your specifications and needs.
Additionally, you may be able to find additional power or tailor your power curve to your specific needs by adjusting the valve timing with these gears.
PHR Cam Gears also offer an engine gear aspect that will look amazing in your engine bay and will complement PHR's accessory pulley kits perfectly.
PHR cam wheels are cut from 6061 billet aluminum. The outer gear is hard anodized black to endure any abuse that is given to them. All hardware is stainless steel and will never tarnish or rust.
VVT-i model engines only require one gear as the intake gearbox cannot be swapped out to keep VVT-i functional.
The adjustable Powerhouse Racing billet locking cam gears are the only gears in the world for the 2JZ that offer a way to lock up the transmission and absolutely eliminate any possibility of skidding. Watch our video below. The PHR gear comes with the 0 position lock, which is the most commonly used position. For those looking to adjust their cam timing, the PHR adjustment kit is available. Allowing adjustment from 1 degree to 9 degrees positive or negative, this kit ensures your gear cannot slip from its adjusted position.
