The 2 vehicles mentioned above require additional components, which are described below.
1. While the OEM fuel tanks are identical, the OEM fuel units are completely different. To adapt the OEM fuel level sensor to the radium fuel pump mount, the 20-0850 FUEL LEVEL SENDER ADAPTER, FA20 is required.
2. The OEM fuel system is non-returnable. The fuel pressure regulator, which is usually found in the OEM fuel unit, is discarded. An aftermarket FPR is required.

OVERVIEW :
The Radium Fuel Pump Bracket for late Subaru vehicles replaces the OEM unit and allows the use of 1 or 2 high flow aftermarket fuel pumps. The system can safely be used with alternative fuels such as E85. The machined assembly mounts in the factory fuel tank using the OEM gasket and replaces the OEM hold down flange. No permanent changes are required, making installation easy.

To prevent starvation, the anodized aluminum collection box retains fuel around the pumps. In addition, there are two 1-way filler valves on the collector box that allow fuel in but not out. Each inflation valve has a flow rate of 355LPH (710LPH total).

The supplied Venturi jet pump has an integrated PRV (pressure relief valve). This transfers fuel from the passive side of the OEM fuel tank to the active side where the pump(s) are located. This unique construction creates suction without restricting the return line.

In addition, all returning fuel from the FPR return line and crossover hose enters the collection tank through a one-way valve, keeping it full. Duckbill valve prevents backflow and reduces fuel spray noise.

There are 3 external connectors as described below :

1. FUEL PUMP OUTLET
This fitting is threaded for 8AN ORB (3/4"-16). A male SAE quick connect adapter is pre-installed for connection to the OEM feed line.
2. FPR RETURN
This fitting is threaded for 6AN ORB (9/16"-18). A male SAE quick connect adapter is pre-installed for connection to the OEM return line.
3. CROSSOVER
This fitting is threaded for 6AN ORB (9/16"-18). A male SAE quick connect adapter is pre-installed for connection to the OEM crossover line.

If the factory fuel lines are reused (as shown above) then an external fuel hanger line kit is no longer required. Each fuel pump is internally merged into a single port. External merging of the fuel lines is no longer necessary. NOTE : A fuel filter after the pump is still required.

ELECTRONICS :
For single pump applications, the fuel pump controller OEM wiring can be reused as shown below. However, it is recommended to upgrade the OEM wiring to get the maximum potential of these high flow, high flow pumps.

Unlike compact multi-pin electrical connectors, these specially designed stainless steel electrical bolts can easily handle the high current demands of aftermarket fuel pumps. These serviceable connections are hermetically sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. The low profile design allows all wiring to be conveniently stowed under the OEM cover. Each pump has its own electrical +/- connections. Non-conductive, anodized acorn nuts prevent accidental short circuits. All electrical parts required for the external cable connections are supplied.

The factory fuel temperature and level sensors are reused. The header box allows the level to be mounted as shown above. Internal pump mount allows mounting of temperature sensor. For more details, see the installation guide found at the top of this page.

NOTE : THE FUEL SUSPENSION MEANS THE OBLIGATION OF THE FILTER AFTER THE PUMP. A LOW MICRON FUEL FILTER MUST BE INSTALLED DOWNSTREAM. THE FUEL LINE KITS LISTED BELOW CONTAIN THIS REQUIRED ITEM.

These optional fuel hanger port kits include a filter, hose, fittings, hardware, etc. They add the necessary post-pump filtration required when using the Radium Engineering fuel pump hanger.

An 8AN PTFE feed line runs from the radium hanger to the radium fuel filter mounted under the vehicle. An 8AN rubber hose is supplied from the filter and goes to the fuel rails.

A 6AN rubber return hose is included that routes fuel from the fuel pressure regulator back to the fuel pump mount. As shown below, billet aluminum brackets are included to secure the fuel lines.

The only difference between the 2 kits is the filter element (20-0629-03=stainless steel, 20-0629-05=microglass).

The filter bracket attaches to the chassis with no drilling or permanent modifications required.

NOTE : Aftermarket fuel rails and fuel pressure regulators are recommended.

FOR VEHICLES TO LATER 2014 FA20F ONLY

20-0850 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR ADAPTER, FA20 :
Subaru FA20F vehicles use a non-return fuel system. And because the OEM fuel unit is different, the fuel level float is also unique. This kit provides the correct fuel level bracket for the OEM sensor.

It also includes a plate to plug the unused holes in the collection box as shown below.
