Having driven the new GR Yaris we have found that power delivery is not apparent below 3000RPM and often falls into the low torque range. So there is a variable valve design in the stock intake tract, which is very common with RCF. We can see that the Yaris' designers have put a lot of effort into finding a balance between torque and power.

The purpose of the mod is to provide a bonus effect and not just ignore the low RPMs and blindly pursue the high RPMs. We kept the original design, which is justified, and we reinforced the part that doesn't satisfy the riders. The original variable valve mechanism has been retained and we've fitted it with a high-flow air filter. At the same time, the interior of the airbox has been increased by 40%. Compared to the open design, the closed air box can prevent absorbing too much heat in the narrow engine compartment.

ARMASPEED's design is different from others who choose to install high-flow air filters and remove the airbox design, which not only directly loses torque at low rpm, but also affects the power transition.

Our design no longer has a single purpose, but is more comprehensive, planned and thought out with foresight.
