In-depth development processes and testing in collaboration with leading VAG tuning and supercharger specialists VF Engineering and Pacific German enabled us to refine the components of this high-quality vehicle just as much as the vehicle itself.
These two charts show the comparison of OEM (left) and CSF intercoolers (right) versus a factory OEM engine tune on an Audi C8 RS6. As you can see from the graphs above, the OEM intercoolers start to overheat early in the testing phase, affecting performance as early as the third dyno pull. The IATs increase with engine speed. With the CSF intercoolers, the temperature drops as the engine speed increases and recovery between dyno runs is very fast.
The second set of charts compares the OEM (left) and CSF intercoolers (right) to VF Engineering Stage 2 engine performance software. In these charts, as in the previous ones, the OEM intercoolers show that heat increases as the engine speed increases. With the CSF intercoolers, the intake air temperatures drop as the engine speed increases. The IATs are much more stable with the upgraded CSF units compared to the OEM intercoolers.

The key feature of the CSF by PWR RS6/RS7 intercooler system is the Formula 1 quality intercooler core. The strategic relationship between CSF and PWR has enabled the use of this core, unlike any other available on the performance market.
3mm high rolled tubes with turbulent internal fins maximize heat removal from the charge air flowing through the discharge side of the intercooler.
The 4.85mm high multi-fin fin is the most efficient fin in the high-performance industry and offers similar performance to PWR's Formula 1 racing intercoolers
Proven on similar CSF air-to-air twin intercooler systems for both the Porsche 992 Turbo/S and GT2RS, these cores eliminate heat suction and lower intake air temperatures (IATs) to maintain maximum vehicle performance for extended periods under demanding driving conditions.
As evidenced by the dyno tests (see graphs below), one of the key benefits of CSF's new C8 RS6/RS7 intercooler system is the speed at which the heat from the turbocharger system is removed.
With the OEM intercoolers, the new C8 platform starts to show heat suction and an uncontrolled increase in IATs, which then causes the ECU system to pull timing out of the engine and lower power.
