Eventuri carbon intake system for Honda Civic Type-R FK8

The intake system for the Honda Civic Type-R FK8 was a new type of challenge for Eventuri's aircraft engineers, which required a great deal of ingenuity and technical know-how. The problem was the position of the OEM airbox, which sits directly in front of the radiator fan in the FK8. This arrangement poses a challenge for Eventuri's open filter system - how do you ensure the intake system doesn't draw hot air from the engine bay? The solution is an entirely new type of carbon scoop that pulls the fresh airflow out of the direction of the fenders. The twice as large opening compared to the original air box is no longer in the air flow of the cooler fan and thus ensures cool and even ventilation. The well-known effect of the Eventuri intake systems then also takes effect in the Honda Civic Type-R FK8: the air flow is accelerated via the cone inside the filter housing. The then bundled and directed air arrives in the turbo at lower temperatures and more evenly due to less friction in the air supply.
