OVERVIEW :
The Radium Engineering Pump Mount is an excellent solution for increasing fuel flow on 2011 to present Modified Ford Mustang vehicles. It can be used with 1 or 2 aftermarket pumps with multiple pump options available. This drop in unit replaces the OE fuel pump module in the tank and is safe for use with alternative fuels such as E85.
Unlike many drop-in pump mounts on the market, the Radium Engineering fuel pump mount features a carefully designed collection box that collects the fuel around the fuel pump(s).
Inside, the fuel pumps are carefully packaged, along with associated wiring and plumbing.
Fuel is supplied from the top plate through a single threaded port and flat adapter port. Fuel pressure is controlled within the radium hanger and is adjustable. The OEM fuel level sender is carried over to the Radium suspension so full functionality is retained.
The OEM fuel tank cover and rear seat will fit with no modifications.

IMPORTANT NOTE : This fuel pump hanger is only sold without pumps pre-installed. The pumps must be installed by the end user/installer. See the installation instructions linked above. Pumps can be purchased with the hanger but are not pre-installed.
PREVENTION OF FUEL LACK :
Several mechanisms work together to move the fuel into the storage tank and keep it full at all times. This ensures that the pump(s) have sufficient fuel available even when driving aggressively. The internal pump(s) are supplied with fuel from three different sources: the venturi jet pump which scavenges fuel from the passive side of the tank, fuel returned from the integrated fuel pressure regulator and the two 1-way filler valves on the bottom the collection box (see below). These valves let fuel in but not out.
VENTURI JET PUMP :
The OEM venturi jet pump in the return line is a limitation when using high flow fuel pumps. Radium Engineering redesigned the siphon system to eliminate this limitation while still effectively siphoning fuel. This means higher flow pumps can be safely used without fuel pressure issues. Depending on the fuel pressure, the venturi jet pump draws 15-45 LPH from the feed line. Take this fuel loss into account when dimensioning the fuel pumps. Connection to the crossover venturi system is made easier with the included SAE quick connectors (see below).
INTEGRATED FPR :
The Radium Fuel Hanger features an integrated adjustable fuel pressure regulator. This means a single feed out (no return) that deadheads on the fuel rail, just like the OE system. This makes the system a simple plug and play installation in a Mustang with the OE lead. The built in regulator is designed for the high flow rates of aftermarket pumps.
For forced induction vehicles that require a 1:1 increasing fuel pressure, the onboard regulator has a vacuum reference. When an intake manifold vacuum hose is connected, the built-in FPR operates at a 1:1 ratio so fuel pressure increases in proportion to boost pressure. Conversely, the vacuum port can remain open to atmosphere and the pressure will remain constant (like OEM).

NOTE : 2 fuel regulator return ports are included for fine tuning desired fuel pressure to fuel pump flow rates and any hose routing restrictions. See the installation guide linked above for more details.
If you are using the built in regulator, this should be the ONLY regulator in the fuel system.
EXHAUST PORT :
The outlet on the hanger is internally threaded for 8AN ORB (3/4-16 O-ring). Because the S197 and S550 use different fuel delivery fittings, there are two unique low profile SAE quick couplers. These can be replaced at any time with an 8AN ORB fitting.
RETURN PORT :
The return port is internally threaded for 6AN ORB (9/16-18 O-ring). This connection only needs to be used if the 20-0806 Fuel Hanger FPR Block-Off (see below) is installed and a return line needs to be connected. A plug is preinstalled in this port. Radium offers a range of 6AN ORB adapter fittings that can be used in this port for return line connection (sold separately).
FILTRATION :
Always install a sock filter on the inlet of the fuel pump(s). You can find compatible sock filters HERE. The fuel hanger eliminates the OEM filter after the pump in the factory unit. An aftermarket low micron filter MUST be installed downstream to protect the injectors from contamination.
ELECTRONICS :
The custom-made stainless electrical bolts easily handle the high current demands not found in compact multi-pin bulkhead connectors. These service-friendly connectors are hermetically sealed and impervious to all common and exotic fuels. Non-conductive anodized aluminum acorn nuts are included to prevent accidental shorting. The electrical accessories for the fuel pump(s) and the OEM level sensor are included. In addition, the wiring in the tank is insulated with high-quality, chemically resistant ETFE.
Depending on the model, the OEM fuel pump wiring is rated for 15-30 amps. Depending on the pump installed in the hanger, the fuel pump controller wiring may be reused for a single pump (only). Radium recommends upgrading vehicle wiring to ensure fuel pumps are operating at their full potential.

NOTE : Since the E5LM brushless fuel pump does not have an integral check valve, P/N: 20-0801-00 includes two bolt-on check valves (see above). This allows for pump staging, which is common when using multiple fuel pumps.
OPTIONAL FUEL REGULATOR SHUTDOWN :
This new Radium fuel pump mount can be converted from a built in regulator deadhead system to a return system. We know some users want to use an engine bay mounted regulator with a return line to the tank. With this kit it is possible. The parts in this kit disable the built-in regulator and allow an external regulator to be used elsewhere in the system. The top plate of the hanger has a return port that can be used for the external regulator return line.

As pictured above, an FKM o-ring, anodized aluminum plate and stainless steel plug are included.
NOTE : The return port requires a 6AN ORB fitting to connect a hose. If the rear seat is to be retained, this fitting must have a low profile (see example below).
NOTE : A fuel pressure regulator (not included) must be downstream in the system. This procedure is not covered in the guide.
