The SNOW Performance HyperSonic Atomizer is the world's best selling and most advanced water/alcohol injector. The liquid is swirled at supersonic speed within the patented 2-chamber nozzle before it is pressed through the Venturi opening. This creates fine droplets or mist of up to 20µ (microns) with enormous cooling potential. The principle of evaporative cooling is a highly efficient technology and effectively reduces the intake or charge air temperature. The thermal load is also reduced by evaporation processes within the engine.
The efficiency of a water injection primarily depends on how finely the liquid is atomized. The finer the atomization and the associated heat reduction, the more power can be achieved. An efficient system can thus achieve a higher cooling effect with less liquid consumption.
The Boost Cooler nozzles are made of methanol-resistant zinc alloy stainless steel and fitted with a reusable 80µ (micron) fine filter.
