Turbologic's new JE CNC billet 2JZ-GTE piston is specifically designed for high boost and high cylinder pressure applications and is the pinnacle of piston manufacturing. These pistons feature an asymmetric design that allows for higher side loads. The wide rim area on the main pressure face increases the bearing surface area to better handle the side loads associated with high speed and/or long stroke crankshafts and the narrow rim on the low pressure side helps reduce friction. The wide skirt area also allows for proper use of the oil squirt to effectively spray into the center cavity for proper piston cooling. The entire piston is machined from certified 2618-T6 aluminum bar stock that has been inspected multiple times before machining. The billet design is approximately 15-20 grams lighter than the forged version and over 30 grams lighter than most other aftermarket pistons.
